Growing2gether is delighted to announce that we have received an award of £12,500 per year for 3 years, from the Gannochy Trust to continue our work, supporting young people who have challenging lives.
The grant will help us run 21 Growing2gether programmes, reaching 168 disadvantaged young people, increasing their leadership and mentoring skills, and improving their access to training and learning. 85% of participating young people will achieve an accredited personal development qualification.
We are also incredibly grateful to the Scottish Children’s Lottery’s Chance to Study fund, which has granted us £23,499 to launch our new Growing2gether Online programme, arising out of the challenge of the Covid-19 lockdown.
This innovative 12-week digital offering, which will start in November, builds on learning from Growing2gether, covering skills such as re-engaging in school, communications and setting future goals. It leads to an accredited Level 4 SCQF interpersonal skills qualification, giving young people a sense of achievement/encouraging them to re-engage in education.
Many thanks to the Gannochy Trust and Chance to Study! These grants will enable us to reach more deserving young people, whom we know are rich with potential and have so much to contribute to the world.
We look forward to updating everyone on our progress soon!
