Natalia

Hello! My name is Natalia, I'm 14 years old and live in the Scottish Highlands. I've been a part of the Growing2gether community ever since the nursery mentoring programme in early 2023 (13yrs) and now I'm proud to be a young leader as well as a part of the YPB. I feel that being a part of the G2g Community has helped me grow so much as a person, enhancing my confidence and helping me express my emotions and feelings in a way I've never been able to before. I'm so grateful to be part of such an amazing and caring community and excited for what's to come.

Amélie

Hello! I’m 15 years old, a Young Leader and a part of Growing2gether! I started the mentoring programme in 2022, then started in the community programme and I am currently working on a self care project. I feel I have grown to have more confidence in the community programme and learned I have a voice that can help other people.

Lorelei

Heya! I’m Lorelei. I'm 17 years old and live in the Scottish Highlands. I joined Growing2gether in late 2020 when I did the nursery project, then I joined the community project where I became a young leader that I am still today while also being a part of the YLB. Growing2gether has helped me discover strengths I never knew I had. It has given me a sense of purpose and direction, helping me to understand what I'm passionate about and what I want to pursue in the future. The support and encouragement from the mentors and peers in the programme have been incredible, and they've played a big part in my personal growth. I've become more confident, self-aware, and motivated to continue making a positive impact in my community.

Kaiden

My name is Kaiden and I’ve been working with the Growing2gether group since the start of 2024, with involvement in the G2G Community Project and the Youth Leadership Board. Through all the research and learning I’ve been offered, I’ve found out a lot more about young people and how we can make an impact on our peers. This platform alongside helping with Mikeysline’s Bee The Change project and being part of the Mental Health Prefect team, both within my school, has helped me to develop a better understanding of mental health.

Tyler

Hey! I’m Tyler and I started working with the Growing2gether group in early 2024. I’ve been in and around for a small while, involving being part of a really interesting conversation with the ‘Movember’ group. I'm looking to joining the Growing2gether community project in the new year and am part of the Youth Leadership Board. I’ve not had much work with Growing2gether but through the amount I have done I’ve learned much around mental health, working with different and unique people and heard about how Growing2gether can really have a positive influence on people.

Aimee

Hello! My name is Aimee. I am 15 and I have been a part of the Growing2gether charity for nearly two years now (2022). I believe since joining the project it has not only helped me with my self esteem issue but as well as my mental state. Due to being a young carer I have found it hard to leave home due to the worries of what might happen if I'm not around, but the charity community project has helped me refocus my interests on doing better to the community as well as being heard. I think it was an amazing experience and due to still having some issues I've not been as involved but I believe this project has helped me grow and given me so much support. The group opens you up to new people and new friends and pushes you out of your comfort zone but It has definitely helped me become involved and be more open to people.
